From animosity to searing passion in a lunar cycle… but can their bond survive?

Wolf shifter Nathan Kohl’s pack is his whole life. Arrogant and handsome, he avoids commitment to anything or anyone outside of his pack. He works hard, plays hard, and pursues humans as lovers because there’s little to no chance of him forming a permanent bond. However, when Jared Taylor comes into Nathan’s life, every rule is broken.

After a bad experience, Jared vowed to never get involved with another shifter, no matter how much they got under his skin. Despite being physically attracted to Nathan, who’s all kinds of hot, Jared only sees an arrogant, domineering bastard.

A disastrous case of mistaken identity throws Nathan and Jared together until the next full moon. Forced to spend the next twenty-eight days in close proximity, they can no longer ignore the powerful attraction between them. Passion ignites, and their relationship takes a turn neither of them wanted.

But when the full moon comes, everything might change again.

 Review

This is the first Annabella Jacobs book I’ve ever had the chance to read. I love shifter books… Well, I love well written shifter books. Ones where the author gets super creative and thinks outside the box of every other shifter book written. Annabelle Jacobs has written just that sort of book. Bitten by Mistake is so creative! It is like other shifter books in the sense it follows the whole pack/unit thing but  she changes things up.

It’s also an enemies to lovers story. Nathan is a Werewolf. He’s cocky, self-assured, hot, and isn’t use to being turned down. Jared is human, hates shifters, and flat out says no to all of Nathan’s advances.

It’s not until Nathan makes a huge mistake and accidentally bites Jared (which is against the law to bite without consent) that Jared is forced to stay with Nathan until the next full moon to see if he turns. In the 28 days they are together so much happens! It’s all entertaining, it’s all unique in a “shifter believable” way.

I liked how the author mixed old and modern views to how shifter books are written. She made this book her own is so many ways. Where mating is a thing in old school books, bonding and how it happens is different in this one, sort of. I really liked the slight changes. It kept it fresh and new.

Great writing and dialog. Though there is sex throughout this book, seeing as it’s very sexually charged at many parts, it wasn’t saturated with it at inappropriate times. There wasn’t sex for the sake of sex. It’s all weaved well and the balance is perfect.

I saw the great possibility of a second book with some hinting from secondary characters and I’m crossing my fingers for sure that that happens! Annabelle is a wonderful writer and I want to devour more books from her!
Great read!
