Synopsis

Several months ago Thorne hired Riley as an escort. They fell hard for each other and ultimately made their relationship personal rather than professional. Every moment they spend in bed is pure bliss, but good sex can’t solve all their problems as they struggle to make things work between them. Thorne convinces Riley to move in with him, but their differences in age and income weigh more heavily on Riley once they share a home.

If that weren’t enough, culinary school is turning out to be a disappointment for Riley rather than a dream come true, and he’s considering the daunting prospect of starting his own business. Thorne wants to swoop in and fix everything, but Riley keeps refusing Thorne’s money or advice, feeling like he’s losing control over his own life.

Thorne and Riley will have to rely on their love for each other to help them find the balance between independence and entanglement.

Review

It’s so great to see Thorne and Riley/Dash again. These two get better and better. Thorne is older than Riley and at times I think he thinks too old and Riley thinks he is too young. They see the world differently and have their own expectations of how things should be. Needless to say they are both stubborn to the max!

Funny enough is they both want the same thing from each other. Forever. Thorne wants to make Riley’s life easier and buy him what he needs to be successful in business. Riley doesn’t want to need Thorne. It’s all so complex but at the same time I’m screaming, “Take the money, Riley he loves you! I’ll take him and he can buy me things!”

It is all tangled with these two and they have serious hurdles to overcome as any new relationship does. They needed to figure it out on their own. I have no doubt in the next book those two are going to have other issues and more obstacles but in the end they love each other. If only they will remember that.

I really lived this book. I think even more than book 1. I am so excited to see where these two end up next and what mess they will have to get themselves out of.
